Imada Makes Cut in Second British Open Appearance
July 20, 2009

Competing in this second consecutive Open Championship, Ryuji Imada fired an 11-over par, 291 en route to a 64th place finish. Imada fired rounds of 74-69-79-69 and was one of only 15 players who carded multiple under par rounds for the tournament.

The Open, which was played at the Turberry Resort in South Ayshire, U.K., was won in dramatic fashion by Stewart Cink, who bested Tom Watson in a four hole playoff.

Imada, who has made the cut in 15 of 19 events in 2009 and has seven Top 25 finishes, ranks 86th on the PGA Tour Money List with $682,562. Imada also remains in the hunt for the FedEx Cup, currently sitting in 70th place.

Imada will next appear at the RBC Canadian Open, July 23-26, in Oakville, Ontario, Canada.
