June 3, 2009

Displaying steady and consistent play throughout the 2009 season, Ryuji Imada looks to continue his hot streak this week in the 2009 U.S. Open at the famed Bethpage Black course in Farmington, N.Y.

This will mark the fifth appearance at the Open for Imada. He has faired extremely well at the Open, including two top twenty finishes.

This is the second time that Bethpage has hosted the event. The first came in 2002, where Tiger Woods won his second U.S. Open title. Bethpage is a par 70 and will test the players’ mental endurance.

Imada, who has made the cut in 12 of 15 events in 2009 and has six Top 25 finishes, ranks 83rd on the PGA Tour Money List with $583,156. Imada also remains in the hunt for the FedEx cup, currently sitting in 64th place.

At the U.S. Open, Imada will be paired with Rory Sabbatini and Martin Kaymer. The trio will tee off from the first hole at 7:33 am on Thursday. The group will start off the 10th tee at 1:03 pm on Friday.
