Imada Set to Tee Off at Deutsche Bank Championship

Ryuji Imada will hit the links Friday in the second event of the PGA Tour’s 2008 FedEx Cup playoffs, the Deutsche Bank Championship. He is set to tee off at 8:11 am EDT with Bubba Watson and Billy Mayfair. The players will compete for the $1.26 million winner’s share of the tournament’s $7 million purse, as well as for critical points in the FedEx Cup playoff standings.

After missing the cut at The Barclays, Imada fell from 9th to 31st in the FedEx Cup standings. However, Imada has been dominant on tour this season, capturing his first career victory at the AT&T Classic in May, as well as carding two second-place finishes this season. The Deutsche Bank Championship begins on Friday and wraps up on Labor Day, Monday Sept. 1.
