Imada Finishes 18th at U.S. Open

SAN DIEGO - Ryuji Imada closed out a good week at Torrey Pines in San Diego, Sunday in a tie for 18th at the 2008 U.S. Open Championship. Imada carded 6-over par 290 through 72 holes, placing him in an eight-way tie.

This marked Imada's seventh Top-25 finish in 15 events during the 2008 season. Imada also has four Top-10 finishes, including two second-place finishes and a victory at the AT&T Classic in Atlanta in May.

With the finish, Imada took home an $87,230 share of the U.S. Open's $7 million purse, moving him up to 7th place on the PGA Tour's Money List. He also earns 323 FedEx Cup points, moving him up to 4th place FedEx Cup ranking with 10,854 points this season.

Imada finished T12 in the 2006 U.S. Open Championship, and tied for 15th as a PGA Tour rookie in 2005.
