Ryuji Imada bounced back from a missed cut at the FBR Open, tying for 19th at the Buick Invitational in San Diego, Calif. Imada finished strong on the final day of play, shooting a closing-round 69 en route to a 2-under par 286 (70-72-75-69) for the week. Imada finished the tournament in fashion, recording an eagle on the 18th hole Sunday.
Imada's finish earned him a $64,236 share of the tournament's purse, raising his winnings this season to $209,954. He moved up to 22nd in the PGA Tour's FedEx Cup Standings, collecting 180 FedEx Cup points so far in 2009.
Imada will tee off Thursday, Feb. 19 at the Northern Trust Open in Pacific Palisades, Calif.
