Imada Finishes Tied for 18th at Mercedes-Benz Championship

Ryuji Imada shot 3-under par 70 on the final day of play at the Mercedes-Benz Championship in Maui, Hawaii, to finish tied for 18th. In the winners-only tournament, the first event of the 2009 PGA Tour season, Imada carded 9-under par 283 (69-70-74-70) through four rounds.

For the finish, Imada earned $77,667 and 52 FedEx Cup points. This was the first time Imada played in the Mercedes-Benz Championship, earning a spot in the tournament after winning the 2008 AT&T Classic in Atlanta.

Imada is set to tee off this Thursday at the Sony Open in Honolulu, Hawaii, where his best career finish was a tie for 20th in 2007. Check back to RyujiImada.com for tee times on Tuesday.
